Abstract:

This study investigates the effect of the pragmatism outlook on organizational coaching, considering the mediating role of employees’ information overload at the Moghan Agro-Industrial and Livestock Company. The research is applied in purpose and descriptive–survey in method. The statistical population comprised all employees of the company (N = 2,800). Using simple random sampling and in accordance with structural equation modeling (SEM) requirements, 225 employees were selected as the sample.
Data were collected using standardized questionnaires measuring the pragmatism outlook (Bernsteiner, 2010), organizational coaching (Patland, 2014), and information overload (Bawden & Robinson, 2016). Instrument validity was assessed through expert review, and reliability was examined using Cronbach’s alpha; all coefficients exceeded 0.70, indicating acceptable reliability.
The results showed that the pragmatism outlook has a positive and significant effect on organizational coaching. In addition, the pragmatism outlook significantly affects information overload, and information overload significantly affects organizational coaching. Finally, mediation analysis indicated that information overload plays a significant mediating role in the relationship between the pragmatism outlook and organizational coaching. Overall, the findings suggest that fostering pragmatic, action-oriented approaches in organizations—together with effective management of information flows—can enhance organizational coaching and improve employee performance.
