First, the initial instrument was designed by reviewing the literature related to the phubbing scale, trust in the supervisor and psychological factors. Then the validity (CVI & CVR) was estimated using the opinions of 15 management experts and its reliability was determined according to Cronbach's alpha. The initial form of the instrument was developed in three sections and 30 sub-components. In the validity study of CVR score, 26 components were higher than the Lawshe table number (.49), but three components were eliminated due to insufficient scores. In the CVI estimate, all components scored >.79. In the internal consistency examination of components, the Cronbach's alpha confirmed the phubbing scale with .88, the trust in supervisor with .79, and psychological factors with .82. The psychometric instrument for measuring phubbing and its effects on trust in supervisors and psychological factors of employees has attained appropriate validity and reliability. As a result, this instrument can be an appropriate tool for using the effects of phubbing in organizational work environment.
