Authors:
Abstract:
The aim of this study was to examine the role of teachers’ personality traits in predicting the organizational performance of public schools in Ardabil Province. This research was descriptive-correlational in nature, and its statistical population included all public school teachers in Ardabil Province during the 2024–2025 academic year, whose number was estimated at 2,600. Using Cochran’s formula, a sample of 350 participants was selected through cluster random sampling. Data collection instruments included the standard NEO Five-Factor Personality Questionnaire and the Organizational Performance Questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics (multiple regression). The results showed that all dimensions of the Five-Factor Personality Model, except neuroticism, had a positive and significant relationship with organizational performance. Conscientiousness had the greatest predictive power for organizational performance, followed by agreeableness and extraversion. The final model was able to explain 68% of the variance in organizational performance. These findings indicate that teachers’ personality traits play an important role in the organizational performance of schools.
